OUTLINE
Calming, quiet and a peaceful day is all we want but what if noises starts to be more noticeable?
Here in our society, we sometimes depend in our vehicles, cars, buses, jeepneys and even motorcycles. These types of transportation are some big factors when it comes to cumulative pollution— air pollution and noise pollution. It is quite noticeable that there are still motorcycles that exerts loud sound through its exhaust pipe or what we call “tambutso” . We may also notice that it is lacking attention.
There are some standards when it comes to the noise exerted by every type of vehicle. Motorcycles are only allowed to have exhaust pipes between 78-80 decibel (measure of the loudness of sound) but still, many riders are exceeding the limit. And as a resident of Brgy. Pag-Asa under the municipality of Talavera, I personally encounter motorcycle riders that goes beyond the specified limit.
Therefore, this community-related act should take place in the vicinity of our comfort. The “CAMPAIGN ANECHOIC” aims to stop and control motorcycle riders to regulate the noise of their exhaust pipe into the said measure of loudness only, to avoid disturbance and to contribute to the environment in order to reduce noise pollution.
THE CAMPAIGN ANECHOIC
The study will be a big help to the Barangay for it can regulate unwanted sound noises around our place. A mini-seminar or meeting will take place, any complains about the problem will be tackled and the exhaust pipe with loud sound will be delimited and will be enforced to replace with a low-sound emitting one.
AIMS
- Maintain quietness and peacefulness.
- Raise awareness to the riders.
- Help disturbed people.
- Regulate sound noises.
- Contribute to lessen sound pollution.
METHODOLOGY
Using social media, the campaign is expected to escalate and to strike its aims. Any form of online-related matters that will help the campaign will act as bridge to successfully implement the local people regarding this issue.
CONNOTATION OF ANECHOIC- Anechoic means free from echo/sound.
